The most effective
program based upon 15+ years of research and experience
is normally 20 sessions of Advanced Medical Health Clinic therapy to be
given within 5 contiguous weeks, with the first 8 sessions
given within the first two weeks of treatment. Depending on the patient, the number of sessions
may vary from as little as 16 sessions to as much as 24 sessions. Our most successful patients,
elect to have a treatment session every day including Saturday/Sunday and typically finish with the least number
of therapeutic sessions. This is due to the body participating through its normal neuromuscular
re-education mechanisms. Basically, the more you exercise muscles, the more responsive they become.
As a professional and innovative clinic, we require the commitment of 16 sessions
before we start treatment. This is necessary for our system and our professional staff to
truly help you and for you to sustain long lasting results. We have flexible payment methods and schedules, if necessary.
THINGS YOU
NEED TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING THE COMPUTER-CONTROLLED SPINAL REHAB TREATMENT PROGRAM:
1. Your physician has evaluated your condition and overall
health. Your medical history, as well as your spinal studies
will also be reviewed by the Advanced Medical Health Clinic's physician to determine just how this program will be beneficial to you.
2. Before entering the program, Advanced Medical's physician may
require further tests, X-rays or MRIs to be taken to more accurately identify the damaged nerves that need to be treated.
3. This program normally involves 20 treatments of 45 minutes each. They must be scheduled on a daily basis for 5-6 weeks with
a minimum of 4 treatments per week. Your conviction to maintain
this schedule is of utmost importance, since the full and
successful treatment is dependant on each therapeutic session
being separated by one or two days maximum.
4. It is highly common for patients to feel much better
with only a few computer-controlled treatments. Remember, the full number of 20 sessions are required to achieve permanent
rehabilitation and restoration of your spinal discs. Clinical
studies and the experience of our back pain specialists
have clearly demonstrated that completion of the 20 sessions
in a timely fashion results in the most satisfying results.
5. During this treatment program, you may participate in normal daily activities, but you must avoid any strenuous or heavy work.
6. During this treatment program, do not take or receive any other back treatments from some other medical facility. This includes, clinical physical therapy, chiropratic, acupuncture, etc. without the strict guidance of Advanced Medical's physician
and medical staff.
7. If you have been referred to Advanced Medical by your primary care physician, remember that you are still a patient of your primary doctor. While we will keep your doctor abreast of your treatment progress and eventual outcome, he/she is still to be consulted by you regarding other medical conditions you may have, as well as renewal of any medications.
8. Our treatments are long lasting and you are usually permanently fixed for life; however, if you re-injure and/or mistreat your back, you may be in need of more treatments. We offer two "free" tune-up rehab sessions every six months after completing your initial service. In addition, we promote your education of how to maintain a healthy back and prevent any future back problems.
Physical Therapy
Advanced Medical Health Clinic delivers a fully integrated spinal rehabilitation program using computer-controlled
traction techniques. We realize the importance of in-depth professional
guidance of a well-trained physical therapist. Our innovative program is a combination of hands-on physical therapy and
computer-controlled traction. Thus, we offer physical therapy sessions and basic management
of our spinal rehabilitation program tailored for each patient, and at no extra cost to the patient. On your first
visit the physical therapist will test your physical characteristics, including range of motion and strength
tests for various muscle groups. These stats will be documented and cross-checked during and at the end of
the treatment program. You will be assigned an innovative physical therapy program which is right for you. In general,
treatment programs vary based upon "recency" of injury/back problem and your current level of physical/muscular "fitness".
In addition, we highly recommend that each patient get a follow-up MRI
to validate that identified problem areas have been significantly improved. If directed by you, a summary report will
be sent to your doctor at the end of your treatment program documenting the before and after treatment
conditions/results.

Low Level Laser Treatments, also known as Cold Laser Treatments
Advanced Medical Health Clinic makes available a clinical low level laser technology. We offer
multiple wavelengths with penetrating depths of 3/8" to 1 1/2". The Cold Laser is well known within the Health Services community for
effective treatments in healing wounds much faster than unassisted therapies. The first cold lasers uses date back to 1972.
It is backed by thousands of clinical studies supporting wound healing and neck/shoulder pain relief. The Cold Laser can effectively be used
to reverse Carpal Tunnel Syndrome after the patient becomes qualified based on a special nerve conduction test. Typically, a patient only needs 3 to 5 treatments to heal an affected area. The proper protocols for effective use
of clinical-strength cold lasers determine effective results.
If you are considering using LLLT (cold laser) for musclosketetal tissue, the wavelength
must be either 808nm or 830nm. The red light cold laser is typically 635nm and is only effective for superficial injuries (i.e., less than 1/2" in depth from the
surface of the skin. The penetration range of an effective "clinical" cold laser is no more than three inches and is ineffective when not applied directly to the skin.
The basic physiological effects of laser light include: 1) increased cell membrane
polarization and permeability; 2) increased ATP production and respiratory chain activity; 3) increased enzyme activity; 4) increased collagen and epithelial production; 5) increased
capillary formation; 6) increased macrophage (immune) activity; 7) analgesic effects due to elevated endorphin production, electrolytic nerve blockage, and improved blood and
lymph flow; 8) anti-inflammatory effect due to improved circulation and accelerated tissue regeneration; and 9) increased production of anti-oxidants.

Far Infrared Heat Therapy
Advanced Medical Health Clinic makes available a rather simple and time honored method to improve the body condition. Specific parts of the body exhibiting soreness or stiffness, including feet, hands, shoulders, neck muscles, lower back muscles and knee joints can be relieved with far infrared heat. Typically, a patient will receive this treatment in conjunction with low level laser therapy and/or therapeutic touch.
The basic physiological effects of far infrared heat therapy include: 1) Increases blood flow. Heating muscles produces an increased blood flow level similar to that seen during exercise. Temperature elevation also produces an increased blood flow and dilation directly in capillaries, arterioles, and venules, probably through direct action on their smooth muscles. 2) Assists in resolution of inflammatory infiltrates, edema, and exudates. 3) Increases extensibility of collagen tissue. Phantom Pain Therapy
Advanced Medical Health Clinic makes available a rather simple and innovative method to eliminate phantom pain. Specific parts of the body may have been removed by an industrial accident or by an act of war, yet the missing body part seems to send a pain signal to the brain. This is called phantom pain. More than 700 U.S. soldiers have lost limbs after being wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. Although there are no hard numbers, experts believe phantom limb pain afflicts from 50 percent to 90 percent of amputees. In addition, at least this same number of patients have phantom pain due to industrial accidents who may have blown off a hand, arm, foot or leg. This ailment is often impervious to pain treatments when prescribed by a physician without neurological specific expertise. Many patients end up on drugs such as Oxycontin or Percocet; and as powerful as the medicines are, they seldom work.

Here is a typical story: On the morning of July 2, 2006, Sgt. Nick Paupore was driving the lead Humvee in a convoy near Kirkuk, in northern Iraq, when a roadside bomb blew off his right leg above the knee. Within 48 hours, he was at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, where he has spent 18 months recovering. Soon after arriving, Paupore began to feel excruciating pain - in his missing leg. "It felt like someone was shocking me, like someone was putting an electrode on the back of my (missing) ankle." He tried several painkillers, including methadone, but the pain didn't let up. Then a Navy neurologist, Dr. Jack Tsao, convinced him to try a new approach that requires patients to carefully exercise both limbs while viewing the action in a mirror. "As soon as I started the treatment, I noticed a remarkable change," says Paupore, who has stopped taking painkillers. "I could see really big improvement, really fast."
Added comment by Dr. Case: “You can trick the brain into temporarily believing there's a real limb there (in the mirror) and increase the effectiveness of the methodology if you block the patient's view of the injured limb during the mirrored exercise.” “This is why many practitioners call this the “mirrored-box” technique, because the injured limb is put inside a non-see-through box, like the one shown in the above photo for an amputated hand.”
At our clinic, we encourage our “phantom pain patients” to use Google on the internet and research this "mirror box" technique, then come into the office for treatment. We have mirror box expertise and will set it up for the missing body part, then give the proper exercise procedures to train the brain to re-program via natural biofeedback. Hair growth follows a specific growth cycle with three distinct and concurrent or simultaneous phases or stages. Each phase has specific characteristics that determine the length of the hair 1) Anagen Phase (Growth): This is the growing stage where the hair grows at about an inch each month, and this phase usually lasts between 2 and 8 years. 2) Catagen Phase (sheding): As this phase begins, the base of the root or the bulb detaches from the bloody supply and the hair shaft is pushed up. This phase lasts 2 - 4 weeks. 3) Telogen Phase: This is the resting stage, during which there is no hair growth. This phase lasts up to 5 months and when it is over, the strand of hair is shed and a new strand begins growing to take its place in a healthy follicle.
At the end of the resting phase, the hair is shed, and the follicle starts to grow a new one. At any moment, about 85% to 90% of the hair follicles of the scalp are growing hair in the first phase; only about 10% to 15% are in the resting phase. If a follicle is destroyed for any reason, no new hair will grow from it.

Weakness #1: High Oxygen Levels Kill Cancer - Low Oxygen Levels Breed Cancer
Did you realize that an underlying cause of cancer may be low cellular oxygenation levels, which in newly formed cells, damages their cellular respiration enzymes. And that this can cause them to become cancerous? There is much research behind this theory. In 1931 Dr. Warburg won his first Nobel Prize for proving cancer is caused by a lack of oxygen respiration in cells. He stated in an article titled The Prime Cause and Prevention of Cancer that "the cause of cancer is no longer a mystery, we know it occurs whenever any cell is denied 60% of its oxygen requirements." "Cancer, above all other diseases, has countless secondary causes. But, even for cancer, there is only one prime cause. Summarized in a few words, the prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation of sugar. All normal body cells meet their energy needs by respiration of oxygen, whereas cancer cells meet their energy needs in great part by fermentation. All normal body cells are thus obligate aerobes, whereas all cancer cells are partial anaerobes."
Some causes of poor oxygenation include a buildup of carcinogens
and other toxins within and around cells, which blocks and then damages the cellular oxygen respiration mechanism. Clumping up of red blood cells slows down the bloodstream and restricts flow into capillaries. Which also causes poor oxygenation. Even lack of the proper building blocks for cell walls, essential fatty acids, restricts oxygen exchange. Chemotherapy and radiation are used because cancer cells are weaker than normal cells and therefore may die first. However, chemo and radiation damages respiratory enzymes in healthy cells and can cause a build up of toxins. The implication of this research is that an effective way to support the body's fight against cancer would be to get as much oxygen as you can into the cells. Raising the oxygen levels of the still normal cells would help prevent them from becoming cancerous.
